[Selena's Point of View] -As soon as I was released from the hospital, I knew I had to confront Avery’s biological father. I sat in Nick’s car, with one of his big hands caressing one of my small, delicate hands. Every so often, he’d take his eyes off the road to look at Avery in the backseat. He was so proud to be a father; the father of a child that wasn’t really his. But I couldn’t tell him. I didn’t know if I ever would. Nick & I had decided that me, him, and Avery would live in the house Nick had purchased for when he was older. We were the picture of a happy family; or at least we thought we were. I guess everyone doesn’t picture a happy family as two 18-year-old’s with a newborn child. Nick pulled into the driveway and he helped me out of the car, then he carefully took Avery into his arms. As Nick unlocked the front door, I realized he had a smirk plastered on his face. I knew why: This was the house where Nick & I had come that one night to be intimate. I swatted him playfully on the arm. Neither him or I had been here since.
