I like how the lady says she is happy that Susie is “greeting her and saying hi” all while Susie is walking away from her. Then when she stops for a second she even moves away.

You shouldn’t stare into their eyes, that is showing aggression in apes, they don’t like that it’s intimidating and makes them move. Think of the Asian culture it is similar…

If you want to be friends don’t stare directly into their eyes or not so constantly, look down 95% of the time. Your impolite here to their Bonobo culture. Look at Jane Goodall clips.

    1) This is a bonobo (Pan Paniscus) also known as a Pygmy Chimpanzee. NOT a chimp.

    2) Gestation is between 220 and 240 days.

    3) The outdoor enclosure is ranked as the BEST bonobo exhibit in the US. The indoor enclosure is somewhat old but is being redone.

    4) Geri is extremely cute!

I hope that the zoo get some funds to make a new enclosure for the bonobos. It is sad to see them have concrete under their feet instead of grass :(
They are beautiful though. Susie has a pretty face.
